While visiting City Market, we recommend taking a walking tour to explore the entire River Market Neighborhood. A trip to Kansas City isn’t complete without a photo next to one of the city’s most iconic sculptures, The Scout statue. Perched hilltop, overlooking downtown KC from the sprawling, 176-acre Penn Valley Park, The Scout sculpture depicts a Sioux scout on horseback and was dedicated in 1922.
